Day 2 London Fashion Week

Hat: Ebay
Top: River Island
Skirt: Lavish Alice
Bag: Urban Outfitters

Day 2 of London Fashion Week 2015 was packed with lots amazing British designer catwalks and A-class shows. Some are definitely worth a mention below!

This is what I wore that day injecting some colourful and bright prints thanks to Lavish Alice and River Island. High street attire was what I stuck to and I'm glad I did. This blue smudge printed top also comes with a matching skirt and blazer which you can find here. The actual link for the top I cannot find but there were lots in my local River Island... so worth a gander.

My faves of the day had to be the autumnal leaves and warm inspired layers by Jasper Conran. Burnt orange, plum tones and wide fedora hats just made me scream yessss! How could I not... AW15 is going to be my best season yet and I could be bias as Autumn wins everytime for me :)

The Julien Macdonald showcased some gorgeous embellished black and gold contrasted dresses. I can see these coming back on trend like they were previously especially for those AW15 evenings and special occasions. Rochelle Humes looked stunning in red on the FROW in one of Julien's own pieces too!

It's always nice hitting the Somerset House cobbled street, seeing the atmosphere full of fashionistas and all round inspirational pieces. Even if there are crazy outfits to capture. You can see what I wore last year at LFW here:

Have you been following the latest AW15 pieces hitting the runway this weekend?

OOTD | A Frosty February

Hat: Dorothy Perkins
Top: Select
Coat: Vintage
Jeans: Topshop
Bag: Primark
Gloves: Dorothy Perkins
Hi Hi!

I have not done an outfit post for what seems like quite awhile now! Life events, work and general happenings has kept me quite busy recently but it is nice to get back into the swing of blogging again.

I made a few trips back up to Yorkshire this month and was pleased to see thick solid snow. I love snow so much but I chose to stay indoors for the majority of my stay because the fireplace was enticing.

I kept it simple and warm sticking to winter basics- black. The coat is a vintage find in ma mere's wardrobe. I planned on wearing my fur scarf which would have added a bit of texture to the look, but never mind. I did add a bit of texture with my burgundy mock crock bag.

A hat, boots and gloves was definitely a must as I ventured to the Yorkshire Dales that weekend!

Valentines day is pretty darn soon and you can find some inspiration here, then its pancake day and THEN London Fashion Week 2015... its all happening!!

Hope you are well :)

Mintyessence | Valentines Day Gift Ideas

Valentines day is just around the corner so I thought I would collate some gift ideas for him and her. Sometimes it is so hard to think of things you can buy for your loved ones, so I hope this gives you some inspiration.

Also some people hate the idea of the 14th February because of heart break or just being single... thats okay! Treat a friend or family member and make their day :)

Valentines Gift Ideas

For Him and Her:

Flowers can be overrated but showing them you have considered their favourite type of flower can earn you brownie points. Is it weird that I prefer artificial flowers as opposed to fresh flowers? That way you don't have to worry about them dying and keep them for sentimental value. Marks and Spencer

Framed Photos are a great reminder of good times you've had together. Make sure you're both happy with the angles too because this will be cherished for a long time on your mantelpiece! Live Laugh Love

Fragrances are such a great idea for gifts. If you know their favourite scent has run out, buy that! If not try something new that you both like the scent of. Estee Lauder Modern Muse and Paco Rabanne are my current faves right now.

For Him:

Watches are a staple piece of accessory that must be worn. The watch above is great for a minimal look on a guy. Take the time to choose and consider what their style is like. Domeni Company

Fresh Kicks as lets be honest, guys keep their footwear longer than girls do and love a fresh pair. What was that make he kept showing you when you went shopping together? Keep this in mind! Nike

Chocolates. It's quite rare to find someone who doesn't love chocolates so this would be a great touch especially if they are heart shaped! :) Hotel Chocolat

For Her:

Emoji Cushions are the greatest idea ever! I love my emoticons so when I saw some selling for decent prices online, I was like "yes" thats going in this post! Maybe pick one that is common to both of your conversations. Amazon.uk

Candles. Who doesn't like burning sweet scented candles? Yankee Candles and Neom Candles are one of the top most favoured brands but you can also surprise her with a new brand right? Yankee Candles

Gift Vouchers are always handy if you really are cannot pin point what exactly she would like. You should roughly have an idea of the shops she likes and the rest, is all down to her. Yes some girls like you to be more specific and actually choose the gift too, so if your brave enough... do that! Remember that purse, bag or pair of shoes she wanted... Selfridges

I hope you have a fantastic Valentines Day whatever the day may hold for you!

Hope you are all well!
