Designers at Debenhams | A/W13 Seasonal Staple Heels

In this post, I re-created three outfits based around a gorgeous pair of heels which are the perfect seasonal staple shoes. The Jasper Conran heels via Debenhams are very classy and below I will show you how I style them for three different occasions: Lunch, Work and Night Out.
These light grey suede heels are what I would class, the prefect staple heels for A/W13. This mushroom colour is ideal for autumn. The tiny toe cleavage with open cut front is the shoe for you if you perhaps don't want too much of your toes showing. The stiletto heels leaves you strutting your stuff elegantly and a reasonably comfy to walk in too.

Lunch
Featuring my F+F light wash Boyfriend Jeans which are very casual yet sophisticated looking with the peplum and heels. I decided to put this quilted black and gold chain bag accessorized with a scarf to make it more glamorous... as you do. I have never owned bf jeans as I thought they would not suite me and make me look boyish, but obviously not with some cute heels.
Jeans: F+F clothing* | Top: Primark | Bag: Peacocks | Scarf: River Island

Work
Luckily or unfortunately, depends how you look at it, I wear uniform for work but if I did work in an office this would be an outfit I would certainly wear. For Autumn this year, I have been very seeing so many electric blue coloured items which I actually love to style. Hence this knee length dress which I layered with my three-quarter length jacket. This grey/mushroom coloured bag looks good with these heels... I had to include something matchy matchy :)
Jacket: Zara | Dress: F+F Clothing*Bag: Zara | Watch: River Island

Night Out
This outfit for an evening out is great if you don't particularly wear skirts/dresses and maybe just want a change. With the heels, it still is feminine and the clutch has sequins on which does not make it short of any glamour. These black high waisted jeans have to be one of the best fitted jeans I have ever worn as it fits you in all the right places. It brings in the waist outlining any curves you may have and so this is the main focus, the top is a plain back and white stripped body suit from Miss Selfridges. This look is feautures in detail in my F+F Denim style challenge found here.

F+F Clothing Denim Style Challenge

Have you seen the F+F A/W 13 clothing line advertised on those dancing models on TV recently? I have to say, Tesco clothing are upping their game when it comes to trendy items. So much so they even featured in this month's Vogue magazine!
When I was asked to take part in their Denim Style challenge, I thought why not. The challenge was to style their new line of denim, so I did.
When it comes to jeans, I am very picky as they have to meet certain criteria of being comfy, flexible and of course look good. Not a huge list but very important for the decision making.
I picked these black Limited Edition Bum and Tum Skinny* jeans and oh my, they suck you in, in all the right places. They are designed to flatten your tummy and I can vouch that they do. The three silver tone buttons along the waist band looks ever so classic. I styled this with my Miss Selfridges stripy body suit as I am still loving my monochrome. I draped this River Island chain printed scarf to accessorize the look whilst holding this gorgeous Marc Cain sequined clutch*. In my hair is a gold plated bobble which I bought from H+M and looks great with the hints of yellow on the scarf. These suede Jasper Conran heels* are perfect for making this look a little more formal and you will definitely be ready to have a good time wherever you plan on going!!

OOTD | Zara Cream Dress

Dress: Zara
Shoes: Primark
Bag: Zara
Tights: Primark
Scarf: River Island
Bowler Hat: ebay
Bracelets:Accessorize*, H+M
Belt: Vintage

I was clinging onto my umbrella the other day for dear life... I will not have another brolly be ruined by the wind! For this outfit which I wore to the French Connection #sketchtostore event, which you can read about here, was based on the warm colours brown and cream . These new boots are perfect for semi-formal occasions and also keep your toes nice and warm. I was given this super cute bracelet from a friend of mine... "hello little owl".
As the weather has been gradually getting more cool, bowler hats are becoming a necessity. I have started to collect them in all sorts of colours which I will style in some future posts. And no, this is not my 'bad hair day' disguise when I rock up to Uni at crazy hours of the morning... I am also trying a new filter which I actually really do like, what do you think?

French Connection #sketchtostore Style Challenge

On Wednesday, I was fortunate to be invited to the Manchester French Connection #SketchToStore VIP event. We had the entire store to browse around and whilst doing so, pick some pieces for final looks.
This Style Challenge party was held in more than 30 stores where a selected few had the chance to style and model their very own photo shoot. Having the entire store full of current products to browse around whilst picking whatever items I wanted, was an amazing feeling and any girl's shopping dream come true! As well as meeting the FCUK team, the 'Most Stylish' look had the chance of winning a prize for their group.
Once we created our looks, we had a photoshoot where the pictures were shared on FCUK's facebook page.
Throughout the night I created two outfits with the help of my team. As Orange stood out to me on the night, I picked this stunning bright dress. The next item I picked suited our minimalist black and dusky pink theme. The collective style we had is described to be 'comfy, casual, preppy'- Sindy.
Classic Edie Jersey Dress £95
Sneaky Wooden Clutch £110
Etched Metal Stretch Band £25
Little Love Wool Trilby Hat £40
Amy Waisted Belt £60
Maddy Leather Ankle Boots £120
----------------------
Rochelle Ribbon Dress £180
Me | Sindy | Martyna | Ashleigh | Anna

It was great to see how different people up and down the UK styled the same pieces but so differently. You can see all the evidence of the fun we had here!!

Thanks for having me French Connection UK!

Morgan Clare Fashion Bloggers Event

On Wednesday evening, I was kindly invited to the Morgan Clare fashion event in Harrogate. I love Harrogate and any given opportunity to visit there is always a must! It was great to browse around the store full of British brands whilst sipping on drinks and munching on the cutest little cupcakes I have ever seen!!
Morgan Clare has been opened since 1997 and been voted by Vogue Magazine as one of Britain's Best Boutiques. That is awesome if you ask me! You can find brands such as Helmet Lang, Barbour, Isabel Marant, Alexander McQueen, MSGM, Alexander Wang, Acne and so much more. They thrive on giving an excellent personal service to customers, so if you are ever in the area, why not pop in.
There was a catwalk put on for us that previewed some brilliant pieces. My favourite items of the night are below:
1 | 2 | 3
1- Mary Katrantzou Moontree Shift Printed Dress
2- MSGM Floral Flute Bottom Dress
3- Isabel Marant Scarlet Wedge Boots

4 | 5 | 6
4- Isabel Marant Ziggy Over-sized Coat
5- Stella McCartney Sleevless Stretch Dress
6- Peter Pilotto Tahlia Silk Blouse

It was lovely meeting some familiar and new bloggers in such welcoming environment.  I was kindly gifted a goody bag which just topped the whole night off! Great work by the Cutting Room Creative team, Voir Magazine and Morgan Clare for a great event.

OOTD | Salmon Blazer

Blazer: Vintage
Top: Vintage
Jeans: Primark
Shoes: Primark
Bag: Zara

This past week has reminded me that I need to buy a new pair of gloves and to get my scarfs out. Rain and wind is such a welcoming start to Autumn isn't it?! However, I went on a lovely stroll in North Yorkshire when the sun came out one evening. The Sunset was a beautiful end to the Saturday I had. This Salmon coloured blazer is a result of shopping my mum's wardrobe. Trust me she has so much good things in there just waiting to be worn, so I guess I did this gem of a piece a favour. It definitely makes this dark outfit stand out.

#theSOproject | WEEK 3 Foundation

This post is part of a 10 week series #theSOproject which is an exciting prospect. It was thought of by Steph where the aim is to reach out to younger teens or those starting out in makeup. It is to offer advice and help them along the way in their beauty adventure. I know when I discovered youtube and blog tutorials it was like a whole new world of amazing-ness and the rest is history :)

WEEK 3 : Foundation

PRODUCT: Make Up Forever HD Foundation

PURPOSE: Foundation leaves you with a High Definition finish.

HOW:
I use a my Real Techniques buffing brush to buff the foundation onto my skin in circular motions. I also use the back of my hand as my own personal palette so I have full control at how much is being applied. This foundation is quite dewy so I usual set it with foundation powder.

PURCHASE: MUFE Foundation £20 (Imats price)

WHAT I THINK:
-Gives an medium finish
-Great if you have dry skin as the finish is dewy
-Not great if you have oily skin (but setting powder helps a lot)
-It contains quite a lot of the product to last you for a good while

I bought this foundation at IMATS London this year for £20 which was a bargain price for this and a foundation in general. MUFE is a great brand and although this does the job for a day-to-day basis I feel I should have bought the matt one as I have very oily skin anyway. When you buy your foundation, go according to your skin type so you feel happy with the finish.

#theSOproject | WEEK 2 Concealer

This post is part of a 10 week series #theSOproject which is an exciting prospect. It was thought of by Steph where the aim is to reach out to younger teen or those starting out in makeup. It is to offer advice and help them along the way in their beauty adventure. I know when I discovered youtube and blog tutorials it was like a whole new world of amazing-ness and the rest is history :)

WEEK 2 : Concealer Setting Powder
FIRST: Only concealer | SECOND: Luxury Powder over concealer

PRODUCT: Ben Nye Setting Luxury Powder. This product was made well known by Kim Kardarshian as one of her 'must have' products when sporting her signature sculpted face with the power of makeup.

PURPOSE: Setting powder for concealer. Also, the Yellow powder acts as a colour corrector to re-balance redness and some greyness to a certain degree.

HOW:
I tap a little bit of the product into the lid and use a dense pointed foundation brush to lightly apply the powder over my under eye concealer. It is quite light but translucent so does not appear as ghostly as you think it might. Leaving a silky and soft texture, the finish is great for a photo finish. It definitely can uplift and brighten any 'panda eyes' you may have. This can be used for other highlighting areas of the face too but I just use it under my eyes. Make sure to blend it in well with all-over face powder or foundation, making it look as natural as possible.

PURCHASE: Ben Nye Luxury Powder for £7.50

WHAT I THINK:
-Not cakey as it is finely milled
-brightens your under eye area
-sets concealer really well
-Reduces oily areas

This week my main focus was concealer, but I thought I would be different and look at how you would set it especially if you want your makeup to last longer. This is a great way of hiding temporary tiredness and disguising under eye creases you may have.
