Everyone is up for a good old barbeque, especially when the weather is scorching hot and the olympics are on the TV 24/7  - 'oh yeah!'
Family came over and we just chilled in the back garden munching, as you do...

This mustard dress is such a bright piece which I love. It is quite summery and brightens up every photo. This primark dress is worn over a three-quarter length top from Select. Perfect shade don't you think, considering I bought them on separate occasions. My spiky headband is from Topshop which fulfills my unhealthy addiction of spikes.
Just ignore the red bobble on my right hand, forgot it was even there, unless it could pass as a  fashion statement...?!

Glossybox- July 2012

Glossybox- July 2012

1-       Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Moisture Mist – I have another product that is from this brand but for my hair, so was surprised this product could be used for both hair and skin. This hydrates and moisturizes your skin and helps you revitalise hair styles, especially in warm weather whilst cooling you down. This is a decent sized sample so you can really try this out if it works for you.
2-      Jelly Pong Pong Irish Cream Pavlova Lip Frosting – Not such a high end looking product package wise, but the smell of the sticky sweet smell is gorgeous.  The consistency is a bit sticky so would definitely not use on my cheeks although it aims to be multipurpose. I don’t think it would have a great finish or last very long.  The colour is like a coral, pink colour which is sheer on the lips.
3-      Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Dry Oil – This dry oil multi-use product, was something I didn’t know what to expect.  My sampling it so far, it is great for giving life to areas of dry skin and plan to try this in my hair. The smell is quite pleasant too
4-      Monu Night Renewel Complex – I have used a hand cream from Monu so, so far I am impressed with this brand. I don’t have a night cream, so look forward to trial this out.
5-      Bex SE1 London Urban EDT – When I first smelt this perfume, the first thinkg that came to my mind was a ‘masculine sent’. I don’t know why but it’s not something I would have bought in the shop. Its so great that glossybox is about trying out samples to see if you like them, so i’m all for trying out new things and seeing if this scent grows on me.
[6]-  Elizabeth Arden SPF Lotion- sample was a little extra in the box. And its so good that if you present your glossybox card to any participating Debenhams store, you will get a further deluxe sample.

This box was designed for the festival season so I thought that was a great theme and an over all ok box. I would have totally loved to have got the HD brows Palette as I have heard so much about it and would love to try it out. Maybe next time.

My Monthly Wants...

This I gotta try, especially when on the packaging it says it gives airbrushed effects with dual fibre brush. This will be great for blending in my liquid foundation.

Heard so much about this brand and want to give it a go. Why not eh? but I wonder if it is better than the one I am currently using.

I have been eyeing up ruck sacks for a while and wondering if I prefer the old vintage beaten up look, or the clean look but I came across this leather one and oh my! White is very risky but I love how spacious it looks image wise.

This has a lot of potential and is a key piece to pair with lots of different items of clothing.

5- Jeffrey Campbell- Aubrey spike black suede
I love wedges and you would know that if you know me well. These are really high but give out the “don’t mess with me" impression with the spikes and all that jazz. Also it is not as blogger famous as the litas but I like these a lot because of it's uniqueness.

Do you have any of these or would like these to add to your collection? If so, let me know what you think.

Discount coder are running a competition to win a £100 voucher for ASOS simply by putting an outfit together! So to win the £100 Asos vouchers, you have to act like you already have it and choose an outfit  that costs £100 or less! You can pick anything you want, but you CANNOT use any discount codes.
Once you have put together your outfit, make a blog post about it and link it to The Discount Coder Blog to be entered. Simples :D
The competition closes at midnight on the 31st July

It is actually a challenge but I love it! A few days ago, I made an ASOS order and so I find it quite beneficial after raiding through the whole online store :s The idea is to create a killer outfit with £100 or less so with lots of chopping and changing heres what I concockted. Ok here goes...
So I went back onto the website yesterday, and some of the outfits were on sale and others weren't, so I did a mix of what I liked. Obvs. Hope you like.

So the idea I had in my head was a casual summers day. Bearing in mind the British weather is a bit 'mehh', so that is why I brought a lime green theme to the outfit. The flats compliment the contrasting jacket, and lets be honest, look dead comfy.

1-ASOS Skater Dress with Cap Sleeves £20

This simple white dress is plain, but so fresh at the same time. It suits the Summer season well. The skater skirt is so in at the moment and quite girly at that length.

2-ASOS Contrast Sleeve Bomber £35

This just adds to the coolness of the outfit. The faux black leather jacket is optional but especially for a cool days breeze, I would say it is appropriate. The sleeves add that lime colour that holds the theme of the piece.

3-ASOS LORI Tassle Loafers with Contrast Sole £18

These look soooo comfy for running errands and still looking pretty stylish. I'm thinking practically, like driving/running for the bus, or shopping for a whole day in town. This pair can't compliment the jacket anymore I would say.

4-ASOS Frosted Colour Block Shopper £20

Every girl needs a decent sized handbag for a casual day. This shopper has the best of both world being half lime and half grey. But the obvious reason as to why I picked this bag is the lime side :D (Call me OTT)

5-ASOS Western Tip Hip Belt £5

This belt just adds a bit of edge to the plain dress. The silver metal hardware can only add.

6-Barry M Glitter Nail Effects £2

This is just a cherry on the top to give the nails a sparkle that is quite light. The sun will definitely glisten in the sun.

Boom! £100! Doing this challenge was really fun, even if I don't win- it's the taking part that really counts :) and seriously you will enjoy!! x

OOTD | Converse

Top: French Connection
Leggings: Topshop
Cardigan: Peacocks
Bag: From my mum
Shoes: ASOS

Today I went shopping! And so i just wore this outfit. And it was my first time wearing my white converses. I had been putting off wearing them for AGES. This was mostly because of the unpredictable weather not making up its mind. Is it just me that avoids wearing white shoes because you can’t bear the fact that they will eventually get dirty? I have never had this problem before lol. However after wearing them for a day, they are still in mint condition, so there is no need to panic guys!

I do have another pair of converses which are pink spotted high-tops. However, I felt the NEED to get this white pair as they are so DOPE! (never thought I’d be typing this :s) Especially for summer and all the other seasons that follow that. So basically it can never get old, well in my opinion.

Ombre Pastel Nails!

In this blogpost I will show you how I keep up to trend with both ombre and pastels, COMBINED = GeNiUs!

Well ombre basically is the graduated tone of colours. In this example, I’m going to show you how to do this with:
- x3 nail polishes,( Nail Ease-Blush     Avon colour trend- Very violet       Topshop- Awol 104)
 -a cotton bud
-and preferably your nails :p

Firstly, I applied the Bail Ease nail polish in the shade ‘Blush’ over all my nails as a base coat. This light pinky lilac colour is extremely natural and that is the way I like it. If you wish you could layer it up for a more pigmented effect.
Next, I add the ‘Very Violet’ shade of nail polish which has a slightly metallic undertone. This is applied on the upper half of the nail.
Lastly, using the cotton bud, dab a little of the ‘Awol’ blue shade nail polish on it. As we want a blotting effect, excess can be blotted on some paper/tissue. Then start at the tip of the nail and work inwards. The blue should be darker at the tips and gradually get lighter.

You can experiment with all sorts of colours and be as dramatic or subtle as you like. What are your favorite colours to ombre?

OOTD | Stroll in Knaresborough

Top: Primark
Skirt: Warehouse
Jacket: Zara
Belt: Warehouse
Bag: Zara
Shoes: HandM

At the weekend, my family decided to go on a nature walk in North Yorkshire- Knaresborough. It has such amazing scenery and I thought I would just show you what I wore. Don’t expect hiking boots and a camping bag because it wasn’t that type of nature expedition. It was more of a family stroll... before it starts raining haha.
I wore a floral tube top which was only £2 in Primark- (Did I hear you say bargin?) This was tucked into my warehouse navy blue maxi skirt and belted above my waist with a gold plated belt. Over the top I had my waistcoat dark green jacket as I have been loving it lately. The shoes are my flatforms which were so comfortable to plod around in. In the evening we enjoyed a Chinese meal and called it a night :D

Favourite Creams | July 2012

I love body/hand creams and I don't think you can ever have too many! But what is your best and worst hand cream? That is the question. My ‘go to creams’ this month are below which I thought I would share with you:

001 Avon Skin So Soft – Body Lotion
This is such a moisturising cream that can get rid of any dry skin. It is definitely 100% nourishing on the skin. I have pretty sensitive skin and this has not irritated it in the slightest. It is silky smooth when applied and was around the £2 mark when I bought it. However, this product is no longer sold but there is a replacement called 'Skin so soft Silky' moisturiser which is very similar.

002 Monu- Body Cream
This came in one of my glossyboxes and is just AMAZING! The packaging is cute for starters, and the smell is divine. Unfortunately the writing has faded slightly, but that just goes to show, I can’t stop reaching for it. It advises use after showering but I use it all the time. Crazy I know! It is extremely moisturising and great for areas like elbows, knees etc because it improves the elasticity of the skin. This is the sample size but for reference purposes the full price size is £23 for 200ml.

003 Simple- purifying cleansing lotion
This is a must when it comes to dehydrated skin. After I cleanse and before makeup, I add a little dollop which goes a long way on my face. I hope you know what I mean by 'dollop' haha. I feel confident using this product as it contains  vitamin B and has no harsh chemicals in it. Recently I have been trying out the Simple products to see how they get along with my skin. So far, so good and only for a price of £2.99.

004 Bliss- Blood orange and White pepper body butter
The smell is out of this world, if you like the smell of oranges that is. This vibrant smelling cream is moisturising, which is a definitely a must. It has macadamia oil and grape seed extract that leaves a silky finish to your skin. Not the usual greasy effect lots of creams leave behind. I have nearly finished it and I have to repurchase ASAP.  It retails at £20.50 for a larger size that this (200ml) The lady at the counter at Bliss Debenhams introduced me to the Lemon and sage. But can I convert? I don’t know if i’m ready for that sort of chance yet :S

005 Soap n Glory- Hand Food
After being introduced by a friend to this product, I cannot turn back. I must say, I was cautious when purchasing to got this tube and a little pot as opposed to the large jar version. But I love. I love the smell, I love the texture. If you don’t have this, you need it in your life. I got this in a Christmas set from boots which I was truly grateful for.

What are your fave creams this month?

OOTD | Zara Khaki Studded Jacket

Blouse: Primark
Top: Dorothy Perkins
Jeans: Primark
Jacket: Zara
Bag: Zara
Shoes: HandM

Today was just a casual sort of day full of errands. I went to meet a friend at starbucks and thought I’d wear this for a short but sweet lunch date. It was quite damp outside but thought I would cheer myself up with this floral blouse.

The black long-sleeved top underneath no only kept me warm but in this sunny British weather but also covers my most hated arms. I will learn to love them once I tone up a little I am sure. The waistcoat /jacket with spikes just adds character to the outfit with a slight military feel. I am proud to say I did the DIY myself which was a fun little task to do. I want to do more fashion DIY's now! I am wearing my soft skinnies from Primark and my black flatforms. These are so comfortable and still you look pretty put together with them on.

At starbucks I had my regular caramel hot chocolate whilst having a good long chat... mmm
