OOTD | Peachy Flared Midi Skirt

Top: HandM
Skirt: New Look
Shoes: Zara
Sunglasses: Vintage

A 'girl on a mission' was the theme of a particular shopping trip when I decided to pick a colour theme. Something I don't generally wear a lot of and could update my wardrobe with! Peachy nude was the colour palette I was on the search for. Such a fresh, feminine and sophisticated choice of which I knew would go well with some minimalistic grey courts.

The stretchy top from the HandM basics section was something I may have to pick up in every colour! Very flattering and even advised to get in a few sizes smaller. However I find the material sculpting any lumps and bumps come out to say hello :) This was nicely tucked into the most amazing skirt ever!
This skirt which everyone must own is made up of such thick material, you know it will last you a long time. Impressed by New Look on this find which was done on my lunch break... whoop whoop!
I love me some vintage glasses to complete the look.

If you know me, you will find I love to change my hairstyle regularly. However recently I have been alternating with between two kinds of styles which makes me tell myself, "Come on Joanna switch it up a bit more!". Truth is I am so selective when it comes to letting people touch my hair and the ones I do let are either based down south or my mother. I need to find someone up North who I trust and does not charge extortionate prices to try something new!! Back to the styles I am loving right now... up in a bun that is high or big with a donut or down with extensions.

Food Review: Coliseum Leisure Shopping Park

A few weeks ago I was invited up to Coliseum Shopping Park in Ellesmere Port to experience what food and entertainment places were available on the complex. I got the chance to sample different courses at different venues to gain a sense of what the various restaurants had to offer.

With a bit of crazy golf thrown into the mix, this is what went down!

First up me and some other lifestyle bloggers met up in Chiquitos where I had a super cooling drink. Fortunate to have a beautifully hot day that day, the Agua Fresca Strawberry with Raspberry and Passion fruit with Mango were great thirst quencher. Thanks to Andy for putting on a great show at the bar... it set a great mood for the rest of the evening. Whilst we were waiting to got to the next venue, we were treated to some nachos which were perfect appetisers.

Next Up was Nandos for starters. When I go to Nandos I tend to get the usual and jump right into the main course as opposed to getting starters. So this was a great opportunity to try a range of options off the starters menu! There were peri-peri nuts, garlic bread, chicken wing roulette of various spices, spicy olives, pita bread and hummus with peri drizzle. The wing roulette was fun but I am not a stranger to Nandos wings. They are amazing!! I had never tried the hummus with peri-drizzle which lets be honest... a red concoction in that tiny bottle looks deceiving and deadly. I thought it would blow my head off with spice but it was not that bad. If anything just the smallest tingle on the tongue so I really enjoyed that! The nuts were more-ish indeed even for a little snack!

For the main we went to Coal grill and bar which is a new one for me. I opted for the Chicken Calzone which was scrumptious and filling. I could not fault it. They also have a great selection for cuts of meat, burgers and finger foods. I would definitely recommend here!
For dessert we headed to Frankie and Benny's for a sugar high. Me being me went for my usual "anything with brownie" frame of mind and picked the brownie and ice-cream. It was sooo good and every piece of brownie was warm and soft and hmmmmm!
Another great option on the menu, if I couldn't decide on what to have it would be the "Can't decider". What a name huh!? You know those people who constantly say "I don't know what to pick" well hello... no excuses now. This comes with four different mini slices of cake and ice-cream to cleanse the palette. This was a lovely end to the evening!
There are many health, beauty, fashion, sports and electrical shops on the same complex as well as restaurants. A small walk away is the Cheshire Oaks designer outlet which makes this location one for a lovely and expensive day out. On this particular day I went after work but i will definitely have to go back with a whole day to spend there. They even have bowling and other activities to get up to also!

Will you be visiting the Coliseum Leisure centre anytime soon?

OOTD | Festival Inspired BooHoo jumpsuit

Jumpsuit: BooHoo
Top: HandM
Sandals: River Island
Sunglasses: Vintage

As you may be aware the festival hype is pretty much still in full swing. From Creamfields, Isle of Wight Festival to Glastonbury and plenty more this summer! Last year I was drawn more to the tassels, beige colours and hippy look but this year... ripped dungarees!
I'm so glad the dungaree days are back with a vengeance. Honestly I didn't think this slightly over-sized piece would be my thing but I love it! Wearing a simple black crop top underneath with either both straps up, down or half and half.

The cut outs can be seen as quite excessive but why not when you're in the festival spirit! Listening to a great line-up, drinking coolers in the sunshine... if it doesn't chuck it down with rain that is.

I am wearing my big circular Primani shades which have served me well for the longest time and comfy sandals from River Island.

I so wish I could fit going to a festival this year around my busy schedule! Maybe next year :)

Review: The Maytime Inn Hunting Room Review

Previously I had the pleasure of staying in the Cotswold area in the Maytime Inn.
Below is my initial experience of what I thought.
The review of the food can be found here!

When I arrived in the lovely village of Asthall, the view was very scenic and enticing. The fresh air and sun setting for golden hour was a great start to an enjoyable night. I managed to explore fully that evening by walking down by the river Windrush which flows through the countryside. This beautiful landscape reminded me so much of North Yorkshire moors!

When I arrived I was shown to the ''Hunting room" and given some fresh milk in a cute bottle to make hot drinks.
The 'Hunting Room' is one of the six en-suite bedrooms that the Maytime Inn has. As soon as I entered the room I was greeted with a stag's head which gave a very warm country feel. The interior was very  homely consisting of browns, neutrals and wooden furniture. Complete with luxurious Egyptian cotton linen, the beds were super comfy.
Each room has a HD TV, ipod docking station and HDMI connections for a cosy movie night in.
The room had a luxurious ensuite full of cowshed products which are some of my favourite. If you love it that much you could ask to buy the full bottles to take with you which was great!
The peaceful location made for a great nights sleep.

In the morning a buffet style breakfast with cereal, croissants, other pastries and orange juice were prepared on a table for us. I went for the eggs Benedict and my friend went for eggs, meat and homegrown tomatoes. It was all very delicious and a great bonus having breakfast included with the overnight stay package.

To end the stay off nicely, we visited Blenheim Palace which is one of the 'must visit' tourist attractions around the Oxford area.

I would definitely recommend staying here!

OOTD | Off the Shoulder House of Fraser Black Dress

Dress: Jane Norman*
Shoes: Zara
Bag: H and M
Sunglasses: Primark

To add to my 'little black dress' collection is this lovely number from Jane Norman via House of Fraser. I remember when Jane Norman bags were once the in thing when I went to high school. I remember telling my mum I needed thee bag. Reminiscing on old times!

This off-the-shoulder dress has a beautiful frilly detail exposing the tops of your shoulders. A very feminine and summery look. It fits super comfortably and enhances your womanly curvature.
I dressed this up with some simple grey heels. Accessory wise I had a clear plastic clutch which I absolutely love! No reasons to loose anything at the bottom of it on an evening out.

I've featured these sunglasses before which I picked up in the mens section of Primark! You would not have guessed eyy?

Have you got your summer LBD's yet?

Summer's Flower Bouquet: Bloom and Wild

June has brought all kinds of weather where I live in the UK. Some sunny days and many rainy days. However some of us celebrated British Flower week from 13th-19th June. I embraced it by ordering a lovely bunch from Bloom and Wild for my mother. Here's what I got her!

I selected 'The Imogen' £26* which was packed the next day and sent out for delivery and received in 2 days. Packed carefully by hand with each flower protected with a netting, I was impressed when they arrived! The great thing is that they are packaged in a slender box which can easily fit through the letterbox. No need to wait around for them to be re-delivered.

The selected bouquet consisted of whites, purples and pinks reminiscent to a midsummer night's sky.

"White Asiatic lilies burst into stars, against the background of midnight purple lisianthus and alstroemeria. Fluffy white clouds of stocks, accompanied by fragrant pistache, enhances these twilight tones."

What a beautiful description!
I did find the flowers got fuller and bloomed the most the next few days which was when I captured these photos below. They sat in a beautiful vase near the fireplace brightening up the indoor space. So much inspiration was taken on board from looking at the Four Walls website. This has inspired me and Summer is going to see some new hues of colour injected into my living space and definitely more flowers!

I cant wait to order more from this brand and try out the other bouquets they have to offer. I will most likely recommend Bloom and Wild. Did you know you can also add extras to the delivery like biscuits, chocolates mists and candles!!

Will you be ordering flowers this summer for someone special?

Father's Day Gift Guide 2016

Father's day is upon us. A great time to splurge on your father/ father like figure. If he's like my dad, just a simple hug and card will do but I thought I would share just a few lovely items that can be gifted!

Father's Day Gift Guide

FitBit One- Most people are on the hype of having a fitbit. Just having this little device attached to you motivates you to be more active not only recording your steps, calories burnt and steps climbed but also your sleeping pattern!

LV Weekend bag- Great for a travelling father to carry everything in one big bag. An investment piece for a well used item don't you think?

Viktor & Rolf Spice Bomb Fragrance- To keep them smelling sweet with a woody musky undertone!!

Soda Stream- For those who love their techy gadgets, this is perfect. Great for personalising drinks and keeping hydrated with fancy drinks.

Diptyque Candle Baies- Men love candles maybe more than women.... so this is great for an office top accessory. Relaxing with a subtle fragrance burning in the background is just what they need.

Thanks to Ocean Finance for letting me splurge a little on my loved ones. Twinning with fitbits are great!!!

I hope you have a lovely weekend with your loved ones!
